Made whypipo tacos a few years back in Japan.
Most expensive “cheap” tacos I’ve ever made.

>almost $7 at a speciality grocery for some old El Paso shells imported from Australia

Pic related; I had to buy a ton of overpriced shit just to make murrican poorfag tacos in Japan a couple years back.
Just 1lb of actual ground beef (not a ground beef/pork mix) was over $9.
Those fucking boxed taco shells were $7 and imported from Australia, and the tortillas were fuckyou expensive also because they’re sold in Japan as some niche “diet” food.
But you know what? They were tasty as fuck.
