People have been making meals ahead of time since fucking refrigerators became popular.
It ramped up in the '70s in southern california because of Price Club, the proto-Costco, and because of how ubiquitous Tupperware was. Homeschoolers were super into it back in the '80s.

All these "Meal Prep is a Meme" threads are started by the same guy (hello, guy, who hurt you?)
Meal prep/crockpots/vegetables/"leftovers" are equated with emasculation.

ill never understand it. anything over 20 hours old is garbage. unless its like lasagna or shit. italian food can get a small pass on some things, but for anything else, eating any food after a day or so is gross.
