My current go-to is a Blood and Sand. Found it at a hipster bar and really loved it. It has cherry, orange, toffee, and smoky flavors. Really easy sipper that's nice and chilly and not too heavy or sweet if they make it right.

Go-to recipe is

¾ oz Scotch, my favorite is Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask
¾ oz Cherry Heering, can be annoying to find if you don't have a big liquor chain around
¾ oz sweet vermouth
¾ oz Blood orange juice
1 orange peel twist, 1 Luxardo cherry.

Instructions;
Combine all ingredients with ice and shake
Strain into a coupe
Flame orange peel and garnish

I still think the manliest drink you can order is a Daiquiri though.
