Is it really that impressive that I, a 30 year old man who lives alone, is able to cook healthy meals for himself every night of the week? Upon discussing this with various peers on separate occasions, they've given me the impression that this is some sort of amazing feat.

These people seem to only eat out or get delivery. In addition they have no concept of nutrition, like they think breaded and deep-fried chicken "meat" is somehow healthy and counts as a protein. I am very confused. This is Canada btw.

To me, being able to cook a nutritious complete meal is a fundamental life skill and shouldn't be something that other people are amazed at. Am I alone in this?
