Hi /ck/. Recently I stopped eating pork. I eat chicken, beef, venison, bison and all sorts of fish but to replace the pork I have opted for lamb. It is delicious. I love it and I have been eating it a lot more recently. I love the combination of lamb and mint so I was thinking of making this. It's a recipe that I just thought up of in my head, I don't know if it exists but I don't have any official recipe or anything. Anyway. Lamb/mint meatballs.

>Mix chopped fresh mint, pepper, garlic and onion in with some ground lamb.
>Form them into miniature meat balls.
>Fry them in olive oil on medium heat until cooked
>Serve them with pappardelle in some kind of sauce.

Would this work if done correctly?

Can anyone relate to this?

My sister and I are both home for the summer from our respective colleges. I love to cook, and usually cook great dinners and have a reputation for being a good cook among extended friends and family. Everything I cook is fresh, I avoid microwaves, packets, cans, and really try to make great meals for my family. My parents are always appreciative, but sometimes they don't appreciate what they consider undercooked food. (Mom is the kind of person who throws a whole chicken in a pan, leaves it for 3 hours on 350)

My sister on the other hand has to ask me for tips on cooking ramen. A few nights ago she made dinner under my mom's instructions... It literally overcooked spam, like tough as leather spam; mushy mac and cheese (velveeta); overcooked peas to the point the peas had burst open; and jiffy cornbread muffins...

The entire dinner my mom and dad both said how great the meal was and it was the best meal they'd had at home in weeks.

Idk, just made me feel under appreciated when I spend hours in the kitchen making real home made meals and I could get more praise for shitting out spam and velveeta. Can anyone relate, or is my autism just flaring?
