nuggets break off surprisingly easy compared to smaller tuos or pucks, i guess the large 36kg log size means that it isnt as compressed

finally getting round to reviewing the tea i got early this month. pretty sure i've had covid twice, once in Jan and again early Oct. definitely feels like i've lost a small bit of my ability to smell/taste

2012 Gao Jian Shan "Qian Liang Cha" Hunan Hei Cha
99c 5g/100ml 10sec +5 x10
this has yellow flowers and breaks apart really easily which is surprising considering how tightly packed it is for aging
very light for a hei cha, reminds me of Guan Gong but a little sour(makes sense they're the same brand) or Cha Yu Lin "Wu Long Mountain" fruity and juicy
by the 3rd/4th much darker, slight spice and wood. very smooth and mellow. re hydrates easily, i hate having to break up clumps
starts off blonde and becomes darker to an brownish amber, surprising little amount of dust in the bottom of my cup too

i got 250g and it came in large chunks, feels a little spongy and i haven't needed my pick to break it up, just pulling. nice and cheap tea, buying 250g blind might have been a bit silly but its very drinkable. really enjoying these Gao Jian Shan teas, everyone i've had so far has been very nice
