Consider Shark Brand, some old Thai dude in nyc turned me onto it, it's way better than rooster brand, it's got a different viscosity(?) yet a shit load better for flavor.

I know what you mean, I go for this shark brand one STRONG when I can find it. I'm not complaining but it would be nice if it was a bit thicker.

The "real thing" is the stuff from Thailand like this. It's not difficult to get at in Chinatown places in the states or mail order it. The main difference is the viscosity(?) or thickness, the rooster brand is more squirtable and holds a line while the shark brand is more pourable.
Shark is really better, try it out.

It's called marketing and it has a viscosity.
It's no shark brand but it is what it is, and it's good for squirting on some things.
The taste is very different, for taste shark wins out for squirting ok then rooster.

For the mr know it all guy who said it he knew everything about something blowing up when opening. I had one of these blow up when opening, get it when opening. I had other bottles as well, they didn't blow up. So perhaps one seal wasn't correct.

I'll tell you this, it wasn't refegerated it was sitting in a cabnet as other things were and it blew up with force. I thought I cleaned most of it up in the first half hour but I still found a little drop here and and there in my kitchen even three months out.

I do love this shark brand stuff when I can find it.

Eventhough part of it exploded I used the rest to my evil ends and didn't get sick or anything.

I think that it's pretty strange that everyone thinks rooster brand is the only brand, shark brand really is a lot better. Give it a try if you can find it.

This is 4chan wtf is normal? Personally I go for shark brand instead, it's better than the rooster stuff imo. The rooster one has more binder stuff in it to make it more viscous than shark brand but to each their own.

I only can find this stuff in oriental food markets, but it's the best sriracha i've found so far. Less garlicy and sweet, not too hot. It's got a nice tangy heat to it; well balanced. It's also very cheap compared to the hipster and brand names. I pay $1.25 a bottle and tend to buy like 6 at a time. Excellent on stir fry.

1: Shark Brand Sriracha (tastes much better than the rooster Huy Fong in my opinion)
2: Green &/or Red El Yucateco Habanero
3: Cholula

Honorable mention: When I want flavor that's unique but don't want heat, Jamaican Pickapeppa Sauce is so damn good I couldn't go without mentioning it. Goes good with everything.

Because most people assume that cock brand is standard and it works for what it is but it's not shark brand.
