For hens the food corpos get a good few years of eggs laying in the cage houses. Then they get to slaughter and sell the hens for meat once they've exhausted themselves nearly to death from egg laying and plumped up from being caged their whole life, much much more profitable. This is why your nuggs are only filled with the meat from hens and also why male chicks are instantly eviscerated upon hatching.
