Nissin Raoh is really enjoyable at first (miso is the best kind for that in my opinion) but if you eat instant noodles often it gets old very fast, whereas the basic Maruchan chicken flavor noodle blocks are like the perfect food for repetitive consumption without you getting sick of them.
After getting into lots of different higher end / imported varieties of instant noodles over the years I eventually came back to Maruchan chicken flavor pack (not cup) noodle blocks as my favorite for any time I want to eat instant noodles again.
Kind of like having a Coke is for drinking in that it's simple, cheap, common, and sold most everywhere, but all the same it's still really good in a way people tend to take for granted because it's a victim of its own excessive success and mass production.
