You can add one thing to make it better.

I have eaten a peanut butter and jelly sandwich almost every day for lunch Monday through Friday since I was in first grade probably (I'm 27). Exceptions for vacations and breaks and shit obviously, but from the time I was in school to the time I started working I just never tired of it. Extremely easy to prep, filling, tasty, and very cheap, for 10 dollars you get lunch for almost two weeks.

However, recently I've been getting some worrying symptoms. I'm burping a lot more, specifically in the mornings and after lunch, and I've been experiencing a lot of mild to moderate nausea and stomach gurgling. It culminated when I came home and my girlfriend had made a beautiful meal but I couldn't eat any because I was still feeling bloated and in pain from lunch (didn't vomit but felt like I had to). I've started taking anti-reflux measures (cutting acidic foods, remaining upright, no water or food before bed etc) which has helped a lot, especially with the morning bloat. But it's still happening at lunch, and the burp gasses smell exactly like peeb, even hours after eating it.

What's going on here? Did I just suddenly develop some sort of reaction to PB&J after 20 years of no issues? Nothing online seems to suggest it's specifically bad for digestion. If I need to cut it out, what's something that could be as effective for the cost and time? Even deli meat is extremely overpriced lately.

Also pic has white bread but I almost always eat it on whole wheat, multigrain, or potato, if that matters.

the peanut butter and jelly sandwich is objectively the best sandwich in human history. Simple. Savory. Affordable. Kill yourself.
