Nobody here calls dessert "pudding", at all, unless they literally just came over from Britain and have the full English dialect.
"Pudding" refers to one specific kind of sweet dish here, and nothing else. We have instant pudding, pudding cups, and if you're a boomer, you probably remember pudding cans, too. "Pudding" as we know it is always that stuff that has the consistency of wet mud and typically comes in chocolate, vanilla, and tapioca flavors. (though many others, like pistachio, exist)

Whenever I eat chocolate pudding or ice cream I can’t help but to pretend that I’m eating poop. I make awkward moaning sounds and often say things like “this SHIT is to die for!!”. Does anyone else do this?
