Yes, we do.
Most service stations and just about every bakery has a pie warmer. Popular varieties include curry pies, potato pies (a mashed potato lid instead of pastry), chicken pies. Beef mince pies, chunky beef pies, pasties (vegetable or veg and lamb) and a lot of places will also do sausage rolls, cheese and spinach triangles etc.
The unofficial state dish of South Australia is the ‘pie floater’ which is a meat pie served in pea soup.
My own favourite is a ‘tiger’ from Harry’s cafe de wheels in Sydney. This is a pie with mashed potato, peas and gravy (pic related). Sorry I couldn’t fit in any jokes about ‘hot carls’.
