i'm not too far off from my edgy teens (turning 22 in a month) and man i wish i tried absinthe. it's on my bucket list even though i have a hunch that i'll do it wrong and have a horrible experience with it
my aversion from gin comes from
>5th grade
>year after parents separate
>spend weekends at dad's
>monday morning and he's about to drive me to school
>get into car before him and see styrofoam cup full of ice water and lemon in it
>cottonmouth
>start chugging ice cold delicious water
>it's fucking straight gin with a lemon twist
>boot in car and spend day in nurse's office because p. drunk for an 11 year old
fuck what kind of man drives his kid to school with an open container in the car at 7 in the morning
