What is wrong with Subway? Why is it so unlike real food?

About once a year I forget that Subway is indigestible and try it again - it would be nice to have a quick and easy sandwich option and these things are everywhere in my country. But yesterday, as with every other time, I get the depressed feeling you get after a poor quality meal, I have diarrhea an hour later and the next day I have an inflammation response

yeah, been a shitshow ever since the whole jared thing (ridiculous how openly pedofilic he was with the company not doing anything for year(s)) and no 5 dollar footlong.

Also, chiptole still tastes good and is good for gainz, to say subway's quality went down to the dumpster would be an understatement

For me it's the Spicy Italian on honey bread with provolone cheese. Double toasted. Lettuce, banana pepper, pickles, black olives and jalapeno.

Just a little bit of chipotle sauce and mustard. It's $4.99.

What's your go-to when you walk into a Subway® sandwich shop?

When folks think about me, they're always thinking about "Hey, it's that guy--it's that guy who LOVES Subway subs". So, you can imagine it was interesting today what happened to me. What happened was I go to subway, you know, I'm sitting there, my mouth's salivating at the taste, at thinking about the taste of a new Subway sub entering me. So, I go in, I go in head hearty, head ready, eyes ready and mind ready to be eating at Subway Subs. So, you know, the best thing about it, is I was ready to eat. The best thing about it is I was ready to eat a Subway sub. So I go in there, you know, and my mouth's drooling, dripping wet with Subway hot and ready, hot and ready Subway sub for me. To my surprise though, when I look... to my surprise, I'm getting the sub made, I say, I say to the sub master, I say to the sub guy, "Give me that foot long veggie on honey-oat and wheat. And, for cheese, I usually like to get pepperjack cheese". He did that, he put it in the blender --he--he did that oven to get it toasted and ready for me. I'm that Subway Sub customer they say, folks think about him, they think about that guy who's alwaaayys getting Subway subs. Anyway, now it's time to get the veggies out. Veggies on that sub. So he rips that out of that microwave oven, he rips that sub out, and I say "Man, give me all those veggies. Give me them all, every single one, drop em plop em on that sub sanweech, and I'd like them all, please". Let me tell you what he does next. I look away for one second, I peep my head away, I turn my head away and it's not there looking at him, and guess what the guy does. He puts grapes on my sub.

Why does Subway get hate? Is it the employee experience? Because I think the subs are great. And relatively fairly priced compared to Wendys/McDonalds/Burger King for an itty-bitty burger without even a leaf of lettuce.

Why would you go to Subway to order a sandwich you can make at home with little effort. Also all Subway subs taste the same (like water)
