I've just bought a turkey breast on sale. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. I rarely use anything but the stove top when cooking.

What do with this thing, /ck/? Help me expand beyond the stove. Slow cooker?

>buy split peas, because broke and hungry
>follow manufacturer's instructions to the letter
>dry, slightly crunchy split peas

Are they supposed to be like this? Did I do something wrong? I was expecting something...less al dente.

What say you, /ck/?

Are you fucking kidding me.I made a cup yesterday in bowl and topped it with peanut butter and marshmallows ;It was fucking awesome.I used cadbury's cocoa and plain flour and rubbed some butter on the sides of the bowl.Remember to use a autobeater and check the shit in 30 sec intervals with a toothpick. What the fuck is wrong with you.

Hi /ck/

I will cut out the back story, but circumstance has meant that i will now have to cook for a family of four, however i have never cooked more than basic things, and i have decided that i want to really enhance me cooking skills.

So my question is, what should i start with? I will start by following recipes ima fraid, but wanted to know some balanced nutritional meals that /ck/ would recommend?
