California has no local dishes or culinary tradition. They try to claim things like grilled cheese and street tacos as their own (pathetic). Calling a grilled cheese a "Worried Pete" in order to make it sound like some cool in-the-know local thing is as laughable as Chicagoans thinking beef on a roll is some kind of local flare that needs its own name ("Italian beef").

Raw red onion is an absolute abomination on anything other than gyro or the occasional Italian hero w/ red wine vinegar

Anyone here do it? I'm about to enter wage slavery so I'd like to have a proper lunch every day. Can I really make food on a Sunday and have it last until Friday? Chicken, fish and red meat - which last longest/best after reheat?

What would you use a copper pan for? I always switch back and forth between cast iron, cladded stainless, and teflon, and I've never come across an application where one of those guys can't do it excellently, Just curious, I've always considered getting an old school french style copper skillet, I just always ended up spending money on knives and other things
