When somebody is bragging about their own conflict avoidance, it's usually an attempt to spin cowardice as a virtue. Losing your temper every now and again is natural and necessary. People who try to act like they can't even empathize with that are lying. If you aren't willing to take a tone with the pimply fuck who's already taken your money and given your wife/gf something she didn't ask for twice in a row then you are an evolutionary dead end and she's going to get moist for the nearest male who isn't a spineless loser.
