Lol, what the fuck? My mom was throwing those in my lunch box in the 80's. Pic related are ice packs I have in my freezer right now, next to a little snack bag with freezer gel in the sides that I use sometimes to bring a sandwich to work. That's what those are made for, not keeping a giant cooler full of drinks cold all day while people are constantly opening and closing it. Sometimes it's amazing how confidently yuros spout wild nonsense about Americans despite being completely clueless.
