We douse them in butter the entire cooking process to give it a really rich flavor. Also use more fatty ratios.

Alright, cu/ck/s, let's have an alcohol thread.

What is your favorite alcoholic beverage? Any specific preference within that? Do you typically pair with food, and if so do you have a favorite pairing?

In the past few weeks, I've been getting into sake, and enjoying the shit out of it. Delicious stuff. I've tried Nigori, Tozoi, Hakutsuru, G Joy (American), and Momokawa dry. Not sure how they rank for me (especially since I'm rather drunk right now anyway), but if you guys have a sake recommendation, I'd love to keep trying new ones. The American one was surprisingly good. The Nigori was very sweet compared to the others, and I definitely prefer dry, but it was still very nice (and it was the first one I tried anyway, which I recommend for a first sake, helps notice the subtleties in the sweetness of a drier sake).

Planning on making a mead with cinnamon and oak. Which fruit should I age it with? Considering orange and blueberry, only gonna use one though.

I feel like brewing something, what plant/substance yields the tastiest alcohol?
Might pick honey and go for a yummy mead.

If I did pour-over I would probably drink it black, but since I use a moka pot I like adding just the tiniest bit of half-and-half just to kind of smooth it out. It's just a preference, and I could drink it black if I needed to though. Most of the time after I ground up all my beans at the store I'll have the first cup from the batch black since it's fresh.

If it's shit tier coffee I'm not drinking it black unless I'm desperate.
