The best cocktails take no time to prepare and even less inventory to keep up with. For me it's a simple Campari Spritz. A bottle of Campari, a bottle of garbage sparkling wine, ice, done. Perfect aperitif, fantastic in summer. Female guests don't like it? No worries, there's always sparkling wine. And Campari Orange if you have a bottle of orange juice (don't bother with fresh ones).

It's not Belgian. It's Belgians (and even Italians) catering to the American hunger for superlatives. It's mostly bad taste, away from what made our beers famous: simplicity, contemplation and modesty combined with frivolity.
