If anyone needs a starter knife, the daovua pipelines make good project knives. I'd highly recommend anyone without the stones to maintain them to pay for cktg's finishing service. The handles are hit or miss, but I've haven't had one come bad enough to return. They make good christmas gifts. Gotta give back to the community somehow you know. People are struggling out there.
