I don't know how common it is in other countries, but it's onion which are diced then frozen, pic related is a store brand product (resealable bag even).

There's next to no processing involved in these products so it's largely ok, I use it for hot dishes where it gets soggy and cooked anyway, so I don't know if it's as good if you just leave it out to thaw.

You can get similar products for dill and parsley.
