I use less water than recommended and the nice ramen, so it's rather thick and actually brothy. Not the bone packet, but the seasoning packet, fuck about a quarter of that thing. Splash in a little soy sauce and sweet wine (or vodka!)

Normal Maruchan is just carbs and high amount of salt. Almost no flavor. Their Maruchan Gold Miso is fucking fantastic, but is almost the same price as canned soup (but at least all you need is hot water.) The upgraded ramen isn't very good imho. Shin Black is worth the price, and again you can just pour hot water in or put cold water in and microwave. Cheaper than canned soup and is thick. Tastes like real soup.
