>TV show portrays a forgotten food item from real life past
>YT suggest Babish video
>Never heard of the guy
>Title says he's making that specific food item featured in that specific show
>Assume this random guy got a hold of the original recipe through some contact and is showing it to the world
>Or that he experienced that food first hand and is going to recreate it
>Open video
>"I have actually no idea what this food item talked about on the show is made of, or what it tasted like, so I gathered 4 generic recipes and I'll make them."
>He continues to make 4 recipes of no historical accuracy
>He doesn't even have a comparison to the original's taste
>Everyone watching the video is absolutely fine with this literal clickbait
>Everyone keeps telling me I'm overreacting because his channel is about making real life equivalents of fictional foods
>Despite it not being a fictional food
I don't get it. If you're going to make a random recipe, why say it's the specific piece of food depicted on the show? What makes his generic hamburger recipe a Bob's Burger instead of a Krusty Burger?
