I'm making some over the weekend to eat over the next week with the last 400g of Christmas ham I still have in my freezer. My way:
>Only peas, water, ham and spices like marjoram
>Soak the peas overnight
>Fry meat in the pan and spice up before putting in with the peas.
>I don't use blender, pea is fine as it is.
After about 1 or 2 hours of simmering it's nice and thick. Eat with diced raw onion and mustard.
