Ah, I'm from a different part of town. Still, as far as downtown goes (because everybody goes downtown eventually), Guerro's is pretty good. Everybody will tell you to visit Magnolia Cafe, but their breakfast tacos are no better than Taco Cabana's. Franklin's is a meme for out-of-stater's, not nearly as good as Black's down in Lockhart, and Pok-e-Joe's is alright for chain barbecue (although a local chain). Chuy's is a nationwide chain now, but you can still go to the original near Zilker Park, which has a much different vibe than their other locations. Freebird's is better than Chipotle.
Bars on 6th Street are fun, although transplants have been making Rainey Street the new thing because it's further away from the homeless shelter. Like anywhere else, if you're on 6th barhopping at night, Around Blacks, Never Relax.
Antoine's is great for live music, as is Stubb's.
If you're a Longhorn fan, Shultz's Biergarten is *the* place to tailgate.

I have no idea what Kerrville's restaurant scene is like, I've only ever driven through it, but you can find just about anything in Austin.

I find that milk and creamer both affect the coffee flavor more than heavy cream.

Don't have an espresso machine or a steam wand so I like to fill my mug up with boiling water beforehand to get the heat evenly high, then add the cream after letting it sit out of the fridge for a few minutes. Works a lot better than microwaving it and having it curdle.

texan here. has anyone tried the texan craft beer scene? so far most of it has been pretty mediocre, but i'm a big fan of Revolver's Blood & Honey. i'm currently trying Four Corners's Local Buzz which is a honey and rye golden ale and it's pretty sweet at first but dry as fuck.

i realized why there is so much anti white sentiment on this board

white people, on the whole, are wealthy enough to pay for prepared meals.

you non-whites on the other hand have to scramble and make a big deal out of every meal through necessity.
