Do you think cherry pie is a tad overrated? Just about any fruit pie is better

Hahaha....okay but real talk, why is cherry pie so iconic? To me, it's one of the less good fruit pies.....cherries are only good when they're fresh, not when they're jellied or candied or whatever

Hey /ck/. I made a rhubarb pie a couple days ago and the inside was very simple. Just rhubarb with flour and sugar.

I put some of the flour/sugar mixture on the bottom, then added the rhubarb, then the rest of the flour/sugar mixture with a few dots of butter before putting on the top crust.

It was an AllRecipies recipe and it turned out great plus it was super simple. Do you think this would work for cherries as well? Or would I be better off with another recipe?

cherry, blueberry, raspberry, peach, and any other fruit that isn't apple, pie. god this shit is absolutely disgusting..
only acceptable pies are:
lemon, key lime, custard, pumpkin, sweet potato, and apple pie.
