Unfortunately, this is one of those things that isn't visually appealing without some serious creative plating and garnishing.

My Chinese landlord, upon trying it, told me he was going to go home and slap his girlfriend for not being able to make a soup/stew with this kind of flavor.

It really is seriously good.
