I got to meet John a while back when he was having a little fan meetup thing up north.
Not a whole lot of folks (mostly because who wants to come to Indiana in the middle of fucking fall/winter?) but still maby a dozen or so of us.
Just chatting about his show and his shops and history stuff in general, really chill and laid back. He absolutely hates 'modern day' politics and anything to do with it, instead just obsessing himself with the 17-1800s. He's got this almost creepy encyclopedic knowledge of the most obscure shit back then, which I guess comes from the work he does.
He really loves his fans and the stuff he does, though, and his smile and comfy aura was contagious. I think he was happier to meet us than most of us were meeting him.
Really great guy overall, if a little.. eccentric at times.

I've been drinking coffee for so long that it no longer has any effect on me, though I never feel like I 'need' it.
I drink it purely for the smell and taste.
No sugar, no creamers, no flavorings. Just a plain, simple black cup of brewed bean water.
I love the roasty bitterness, and the smell takes me right to comfy town, day or night.

Moving out of your parents house may seem scary and financially unsound, but the boost you give yourself in confidence and self esteem later is well worth it.
Not to mention the complete and total freedom to go and do pretty much whatever the fuck you want, which I guarantee doesn't happen when you're under your parents roof.

The arguments and stress of living with other people completely goes away, and YOU get to control how much influence they have in your life.

I'm not telling you to cut the strings completely, i'm just saying it feels reaaallly fucking good once you finally do.

>tfw middle management at a job I actually kinda like
>invisible to upper management so they leave me alone
>people under me work hard and I treat them with respect and we bullshit around and all get along
>make enough money to get by comfortably
>surrounded by vidya and computer shit
Life is only as hard as you make it, amigos.

Hah. I love this shit.
The more polite and quiet you get with them, the louder and more pissed off they get. Its like they just 'want' you to get into an argument with them, and I refuse to give them the satisfaction.

Don't get me wrong, I love my customers. I'll bend over fucking backwards to help you out as much as can. Thats my job.
But as soon as you start getting rude and nasty? Nah. Fuck that shit. We're done here. Heres the corporate number. Enjoy your gift card. Get out.
I don't enjoy doing it, but I don't get paid near enough to stand there while some cunt bellows at me.

>wastefulness
This has always been true, for better or worse.
Everything's always in excess over here.
Double king size everything covered in cheese, with a 60oz drink to wash it down. For every meal.
Where eating till you're 'stuffed' every meal is a normal thing, and if you aren't full, then you're living in poverty and the government will give you free money to stuff your face some more.
I know I should feel disgusted and ashamed, but.. goddamn it just feels so good.
I'm hoping to travel to a few different countries fairly soon, so maby things will finally come into perspective for me.

I said it was nice looking coney sauce. That wasn't meant as an insult. I just don't honestly consider it 'chili' without beans.

It still looks like something i'd eat on a cold day, probably with a peanutbutter sandwich.

Same here. I fuckin LOVE onions and garlic, and I find myself just munching pickles straight out of the jar now and then.

Garlic the most though. I don't know why.
All my life I've always heard people saying that garlic stinks or whatever, and i've always wondered what the fuck they were talking about. I love the smell of garlic more than anything else i've ever smelled.
(The mixed smell of fresh cut grass and lawnmower gas coming close second)
Garlic on fucking everything. Tons of it.
I just get these cravings for it.
I've always wondered if there was some genetic predisposition to loving certain foods, or if its just.. a deficiancy of something.
Like theres somethin in garlic that my body isn't getting from anything else.
Its healthy as fuck, so i'm not particularly worried about eating it.

My nigga
I do mine the same, though I like to add a can of corn and a packet of taco seasoning.

Its cheap as shit, fills you up, and lasts you a couple days.
