So is that the nutritional information for the cricket flour prepared in a way that's edible, or for when it's still dried and inedible but more concentrated so it looks healthier than it really is? You're going to have a tough time eating 100g of flour.

I don't think it'll ever take off and replace meat. Convincing most people who currently eat beef/chicken/pork to switch to crickets probably won't happen, and we also get milk and many other things from cows aside from meat. Lab-grown meat would probably be more likely to replace traditional/factory farming than insects.

How into beans? Obviously without contaminating them with carcass, chicken periods or fermented mammalian exudate.

I usually fry them with chilli, soy sauce and spaghetti or rice vermicelli and it always ends up pretty gud, but I keep making same stuff over and over and it gets boring after a while.

They're high in protein for a plant, compared to broccoli and other vegetables like that. Also, a lot of people give the protein content for uncooked and dry beans, which obviously makes it seem higher than it really is because there's no water.

Like this image tries to say beans have as much protein as a steak, but the nutritional information is for dry beans which are inedible. The protein content for cooked beans is less than half what this image says.

They're still good and healthy and tasty, but I wouldn't rely on them as a protein source unless you really can't afford meat, cheese, eggs, yogurt, etc.

He overestimated but he's still right, that image is delibaretely twisting the facts to push a narrative. Not to mention that the broccoli in protein isn't as good as the protein in beef. Broccoli is still healthy and you should eat it, just not for the protein.

It's just like this image that gets around too, but what the image doesn't tell you is that the info is for dry and uncooked beans which are inedible.

So "can" vegans. We're just not morally devoid and can hold back our primitive urge to feed the meat jew.

New to plant-based diet here, what are some really lazy vegan foods?
