>Cook something sometimes at mom's house
>She wants some
>If meat: You can't be eating all that meat at this time of night
>Anything else: Eats some of it and leaves it in the fridge to rot
>Chastised me for not eating stuff when I was kid with the usual starving Africans bullshit and goes on to do what I did then
>Younger family members ask for a peach
>Nibbles the outsides, leaves 70% of the fucking fruit untouched
>In the trash it goes
>Brought some expensive deli meat one day way back
>Relative comes in, takes one slice for herself, nibbles it and leaves it there on the counter
At my job it's baffling to see how many people take a sample from the samplers, eat part of it and leave it on the shelves or even in the fucking freezer. These 'adults' never really grew up and I have a gigantic pet peeve for anyone who's a picky eater or doesn't know how to cook.

Bonus: My grandmother would take four or five dishes of leftover food and reheat them together on the stove, coming out as a dark brown mess. Fed the dog some of that and gave her diarrhea.
