National dish is probably pork roast with dumplings, cabbage (or sauerkraut) and gravy.
I would recommend it. Every restaurant/family prepare it slightly different eg. white/red cabbage (or sauerkraut or even a combination of two), different dumplings (over 15 varieties) and meat can be shoulder, brisket or sometimes even tenderloin.
