my mom is generally a decent cook, but she's fucking terrible with beef generally. i didn't have a burger or a steak cooked anything less than very well done until i was a teenager. i still don't really like steak.
also pork loin. that shit was tough as fuck, dry and flavorless. i have never eaten a pork chop in my life and will not be doing so any time soon.
