>working in professional kitchens since 16
>5 in total some shittier than the other
>no highschool diploma
>finnaly get a job right after covid, in a gentleman's club
>I'm the only one there, finnaly felt like a proper chef until-
>no control over the menu, everything to be done according to the owner (who I've seen snorts coke off of strippers ass cracks)
>fucking preheating frozen shit for the buffet when I could do it much cheaper and tastier
>but the pay is good

should I stay here or should I find someplace else? I want to feel like i "made" it but this place doesnt give me that feeling. there are fuck all restaurants around me that are hiring that I would consider to be "good" than the most of the other places I worked at.. should I move to a bigger city and find work there? or is my dream of "making" it a total pipe dream or a meme? I'm 29

hello /ck/, I am looking for a series of images I once saw posted on here a few years ago.

It was the saddest, most awful party you can imagine. It was at a sad location without windows, iffy green carpet floors, low ceilings, brown patterns on the walls. All the people attending were sad nerds from the internet.

The purpose of the whole thing was a buffet of cursed recipes. Just the worst shit you can imagine. Jello salads. Hotdog casseroles. Things of that nature. But the thing I remember most clearly was a roasted chicken made with a marinade based on gatorade, which gave it a sickening neon blue color.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't find the thing anywhere anymore

Food evolves and branches out endlessly. Once a food's best selling point is that it's 'authentic' or 'traditional', it's been left behind in a moribund niche.
Consider that Pizza Hut and Domino's have something like 20,000 international locations between them. Some countries eat even more frozen pizzas per capita than we do. The word "pizza" has become synonymous on most of this planet not with Italian pizza, but with shitty imitations of something else - real New York pizza.

I've made hotsauce and powder with them. I enjoyed both,

I really love what I did with the last of my harvest though-- I dried them, smoked them, then ground them up. The trick was to bake them in the oven right before I tried to grind them- they absorb humidity over time and even dried peppers can be too pliable in the food processor to break up.

I love hot pepper flakes on pizza, and this shit is way tastier than anything I usually use. They last forever like this too, so no rush to eat it ASAP.
