You moron. Ever since Donald Trump posted a Pepe on his Twitter, 4chan has been considered one of the most powerful social influencers on the Internet.

1. It costs nothing to "infiltrate" it. You just need someone who understands the culture.
2. A 30 second commercial on a cable TV channel costs around $100k during primetime. That $100k can be put instead towards a team of minimum wage employees tasked with flooding 4chan with whatever advertisements they want. Marketing on 4chan is hugely cost effective.
3. You don't need to buy 4chans internal data to see what is being posted and what's not. Effectiveness in marketing can be judged by responses and key words, passed via something simple like curl and run through an indexing service.

It also doesn't help that Hiro is probably taking bribes from companies to look the other way on obvious marketing campaigns. He seems to be an easy sell.
