For me, a diner of moderate means, with modest but good food at a modest price. Lots of regulars, and close enough to an university to bring in passing customers. Preferrably the Miskatonic university. Occasionally the diner would be besieged by zombies, wracked by dimensional distortions, invaded by fishmen or bothered by retards in a hippie bus who just wouldn't understand that they can't bring a dog into a diner.

Breakfast. All kindsa breakfast. Breakfast for a dollar, breakfast for two. Breakfast for breakfast, breakfast for lunch, breakfast for dinner, breakfast at the midnight bell.

I'd name it the "Couldntbearsed Diner".
