The source material being low quality doesn't help my vp9 case here. A minute doesn't bother me, and if I cared about the file size for a bigger file, I would play with the bitrate parameter more, but two pass is a must especially if you're trying to squeeze the bitrate down even more, without it you get messy colored artifacts on movement.
