Reminds me a bit of my three Michelin star meal at Wa Yamamura in Nara. That was only £90 though, not too bad.

This is a sashimi dish from 3 Michelin star restaurant Wa Yamamura in Kanazawa. The whole menu was stunning, I feel lucky to have eaten in such an establishment. I had umeshu on ice to drink with the whole meal, ended up quite drunk.

I mulled over going but there are more interesting, lesser known three Michelin star restaurants where you get more bang for your buck. I had an unbelievably varied, intricate Kaiseki dinner at 3 star Wa Yamamura in Nara for about £80.

Agreed, for Michelin star places I only ever go on the lunch deal as the food is just as good and often a quarter of the price. The only time I have been for dinner at a Michelin star place recently was the three star Kaiseki place (Wa Yamamura) where you just pick a set price and the chef does an omakase. Amazing value for 11,000 yen.
