/n// here, there are two "Portland airports" in the US that have significant air traffic. You could say "but what about San Jose" and yes there is a San Jose Costa Rica but really, nobody makes that mistake because there are always enough context cues, which isn't necessarily true of the Portlands. Sure there are a few other cities with muliple names domestically and an eponymous airport, e.g. "Columbus" and "Grand Rapids" and such, but in the history of aviation Portland and Portland were more often confused because frankly, they aren't, Portlanders are just smarmy self-obsessed idiots who have an overinflated sense of their own uniqueness and value. Hence why nobody from Columbus says they're from "CMH" because that sounds fucking stupid, who talks that way? Fucking nobody that's who. Real transportation foamers use ICAO anyway. Fuck Portland. Fuck people from Portland too. Did you know that it was illegal to be a black man other than in the form of property in Oregon until like 1980? And they have the gall to march around with signs like they personally freed the slaves, yeah no. Fuck Portlanders and fuck Portland.
