The problem is people see a person they don't like that happens to be a vegetarian or vegan and then associate that person with everyone who's vegetarian or vegan. Even though there's billions of people in the world who likely piss them off and who also happen to eat meat, they don't look at them and go "god damn meat eaters are a bunch of annoying retards" because they'd be in that group too. If people would just judge people individually rather than by something as arbitrary as what they generally like to eat, the world would be a better place
