What are you making your special someone this valentines day, /ck/? For me, its:

>reverse seared NY strip steak
>twice baked potatoes w gouda and chives
>seared brussel sprouts with garlic butter

Pretty basic, but satisfying. Debating between a simple butter sauce for thr steak and a pan sauce. No time to make demi and the store bought stuff taste like feet.

what's your preferred steak method?

>salt flakes, crushed pepper and garlic powder
>in a hot (A5)fat-coated skillet
>medium rare, redder the better
>pair with onions and potatoes, sweet red wine or a good bourbon on the rocks
