You really should thaw your meat before you start cooking. What you're doing kills the texture and is fairly unsanitary.

Never been a hunting man, but there is very little in life that is less satisfying than going into the wilderness with a backpack and sustaining yourself primarily on fish that you hand caught, killed, cleaned, and cooked yourself. Thats not murder, its not cruel, its just part of life. You can still have a healthy respect for nature and for animals and kill and/or eat them.
