As far as price goes, $5 more than Bacardie is 30% increase in price.
I was judging on price and while I've never had Flor de Cana, I'm sure it tastes at least $5 better than Bacardi.
But Bacardi is excellent $13 clear rum. It is always the same, always available, and people are familiar with it.
His post was about entertaining guests.

That was another post to be fair, but again for entertainment purposes, Capt Mo is almost required, no, it is required. And it's a good price and while I don't personally drink Capt Mo, you almost have to have it for guests.

I'm 100% positive your whiskey sense is better than mine, the most expensive single-malts I've had were the old Glendeveron they don't sell anymore and L10. But he's not in the position to be serving higher-end single-malts and bourbons to his guests.
He just needs to go up two notches from Babby's First Apartment meme to 20s/30s adult comfortable with drinking meme.
