>grew up in household where both parents hardly cooked, relied on processed meals, chicken breasts and bbq sauce, etc.
>luckily had a natural aptitude for cooking and flavor and naturally became adept once independent
>met SO, who lived in dorms for most of his life
>didn't even know how garlic tastes like
>introduced him to a wide range of cuisines, had him collaborate with me while cooking
>he gained a taste for different cuisines despite hating and otherwise being unfamiliar with basic ingredients for most of his life
>he had a natural aptitude for cooking, picked it up quickly, now loves it just as much as me
>now we cook together almost every day
feels good to have a hobby that we can do together, with quick results. If you have a partner that gets angry at you for partaking in something that you both enjoy and/or are good at, there's probably an underlying issue behind it. Especially cooking. It's genuinely the best couple's activity imaginable because it's low-effort, necessary if you don't eat like shit, and is almost instantly gratifying.
