>It's chili season!
Not for a few more weeks it ain't.
My usual recipe is simple, I use You Suck At Cooking's, but with a few added ingredients. Pic related is particularly important, I learned it from my dad. Buy the little tiny cans or else it'll overpower everything else.

The smallest can, otherwise it'll overpower everything else. It imparts a sort of spicy funky fermented flavor that apparently makes my chili fairly unique despite being basic otherwise. People always ask me what I use and my secret is just a 79 cent can from HEB.

The smallest can of this stuff is about 79 cents and will impart a nice funky flavor to an entire pot.

My baseline is You Suck At Cooking's chili, basic but good. I used to make my mom's recipe but haven't been able to make it right ever since dad died so I moved on to something else. I like to add the smallest can of pic related for an interesting flavor.

I make a simple chili with a small can of this and I find it adds a pretty neat flavor. I also started making Japanese curry a few years ago and I feel like that's a pretty good low effort option for cold & nasty days where you don't want to do jack shit.

Sounds good. As a Texan I'm legally obligated to tell you that it isn't R E A L chili but really IDGAF, I put beans in my chili too and sometimes eat it over rice. I keep mine simple but I add a small can of pickled peppers to the pot and it gives the chili a nice fermented flavor.

I use the smallest available can of these cut up with kitchen shears.

I like to throw a small can of these in with my chili. The smallest can is like 79 cents and I find that anything larger overpowers even a large pot. I do use larger cans in marinades though.

I like just about anything, I tried some Brit style pickled onions recently and I'm thinking about making my own because they're a bit expensive, probably due to importation. I'm also a fan of pickled jalapenos, they're one of my favorite things to mix into eggs. I throw a can of these into my chili.

>mustard seed powder
That's an interesting idea. Post about it in the future if you do it. I throw the smallest available can of pic related into the pot and cut up the peppers inside with kitchen shears.

I chop up a small can of these and throw it into my chili. Also I throw old bay onto vegetables in various preparations, people underestimate its versatility.
