oh wow there are a few locations here, but they do not have our national dish on the menu at all.

New South Welshmen can fuck off, it's a parma NOT a parmi and it never will be

Parma is easily the national dish though, every pub in every state and territory will serve one

it's the national dish in Australia, served just about everywhere all over the country
We often add ham between the sauce and cheese, and it's always served with chips and salad

Chicken Parmigiana is pretty much the national dish here in Australia, it's the one thing you'll find on t he menu in most cafes/pubs/restaurants in every state and territory. It seems like muricans don't have ham between the cheese and napoli though

I imagine mixing garlic powder in the crumb would just burn in the oil, maybe try dicing or pressing the garlic very fine and rubbing it into each fillet before you bread it.

Never had parm served with pasta. In aus it's primarily with chips and salad, it's the most pub-grub meal you can get.
