Apart from England, which country makes the best pasta dishes?

ITT:foods you dislike and always give a second chance thinking you'll understand it but it disappoints without fail each time.
for me it's pie and lasagna. I understand the concept of them but they always end up falling apart and becoming a nasty mess of pre-vomit. I just want them to stay in one neat congruent shape after I cut it out so I can slice it down like a piece of cake. Actually cake is kind of victim to that as well but I don't have much of a sweet tooth so it doesn't bother me.
