Sometimes when I only want one piece of toast, I put one slice of bread in on side and a piece of wet cardboard wrapped in aluminum foil in the other.
The single piece of toast pops up without a hitch.

Moved out of Mom's house a month ago, got a job and I am taking classes at the local Community College
Finally unpacked the toaster my Mom gave me as a housewarming gift
Decide on toast and coffee for breakfast
Only wanted one piece of toast so I had to throw the other piece away
Why are toasters not designed for single people?

I hate toasters like that. When I just want one piece of toast I have to throw the other piece in the trash. Burns my bacon.

Finally mv out of my Mom's house into modest apartment. She gives me a toaster for house warming gift. Next day go to enjoy a piece of toast for breakfast but then have to throw the other slice out. Why are these things designed so you ave to waste food?

When I moved oot of my parent's house, my Mom bought me a nice toaster. Problem is that when I only want one piece of toast I ave to throw the other piece away. Seems like a waste. Is there a good way to store the other piece so it doesn't go to waste? I'm thinking wrapping it in Saran wrap and aluminum foil and freezing it, so I just have to throw it onto my pannini press when I feel like eating a piece of toast.

If you own a two-slice toaster and you only want one piece of toast, then take other piece of toast and wrap it in aluminum foil and put it in the freezer.

Want a piece of toast at another time? Just pop the frozen one in the microwave.

wala!

Hey /ck/
Decided to finally grow up and saved some money and moved out of my Mother's basement. Got a semi-decent job while I finish my 2 year degree and moved into a nice 1 bedroom apartment in a neighborhood that is pretty safe.

When I moved, my Mom gave me a toaster for a house warming gift and the other day I got up and thought I would enjoy a piece of toast for breakfast. The problem was is I ate my piece of toast and then had to throw the other piece away. This has happened every time I want a piece of toast for breakfast.

Anybody else have this problem? It seems like such a waste of bread.

Mine used to be a single piece of toast but I got frustrated (and then angry) about having to throw the other piece of toast in the trash. Seemed like such a waste.

So know I just have cereal.

General Toaster Thread

Anybody else like me that when you only want one slice of toast you feel bad about throwing the other piece of toast in the garbage?

There has to be a better way.

Hey anybody else have this problem?

When I'm making breakfast for myself in the morning I always end up with an extra piece of toast. Usually I just throw it out but there has to be a better way to handle that extra slice.
