It involves a jackson crossflow condenser.

It's complex but if you have some skills it's doable.

I built an amazing cooler, but not something anyone else couldn't.

Next was a real project. This is a jackson crossflow condenser that has a very low backpressure so water will always flow. You stuff that with copper mesh and it'll knock down 2600watts of power.

Always always always go to

They have all the info you'll ever need. My build is a boka still with a jackson crossflow condenser on top. I recommend a Coldfinger, or a Jackson.

The crossflow condenser is the most meticulous work. It looks like this.. stuffed with copper mesh they use to deter rodents. That is soldered into a larger tube that you pump coolant through.

This is the 'sony guts' of my knockdown condenser. I'm kinda proud of the craftsmanship. I had to mate that and solder it with a 3inch tube without leaks, and solder an endcap without releasing the internal solders and add that T joint nonsense. It was nuts.

I know most of you people don't make your own booze, but some of us take it seriously.

The metalwork was probably the craziest shit I've ever done.

115L of water
30Kg Sugar
1326ml tomato paste (8.5cans)
5tsp Citric Acid
380g Yeast
1 tsp Epsom salt
2 campden tablets in water

Costs about 200 bucks, make sure you buy 3 inch DWV copper. If you can make a Jackson crossflow condenser with stuffed mesh tubes then good. I make about 2 liters of 55% alcohol in 2 hours from Birdwatchers.

I built and soldered this to knockdown a 3 inch 2.6kW column. It's made in the jackson crossflow condenser style. In stripping mode it makes 3.5 Liters of ethanol in 1.5 hours.

If you end up being a fairly skilled copper worker you can make your own booze for pennies.

Lotta google experts in this thread. No one really wanted to talk distilling seriously.
