I don't get out of bed for anything less than Too Hot

So after living on my own for 4 years, I had to go back to my family's house for some indefinite time.
They asked what I used to cook for myself while living alone and told them that normally I just make something fast and simple that only takes me 15 min instead of a big elaborate dish that will take me 1+ hours. They started saying that I haven't learned to cook a single thing in all these years when in reality I just didn't want to make a big batch of something and eat the same shit for 3 days in a row.
We ended up on agreeing that I would take care of the menu one week on and off.
I want to make them regret this deal and do the most overpowering dishes imaginable. Thinking about spicy shit or something that will make the house smell like that dish for days. Any suggestions?

How hot is too hot when it comes to spicy foods?

It's weird to me that everyone complains about the taste. Even vodka just tastes mildly sweet, the tough part is the burning sensation.

Why am I such a lazy chef? I hate buying ingredients I'll only use on ONE dish and hate having to use more than one pan.

No, but when I worked in the deli we would take the out of date sandwich also any left over rotisserie chickens and eat them in the back before we tossed them. Saved me a lot of money on dinners. ALL DELI employees do this.
